Vendre son art aux NFTs
Il m’a été difficile de résister aux offres et appels de tous les mauvais esprits souvent mal intentionnés des réseaux et du monde digital. Trop curieuse peut être pour avoir peur, je dirais plutôt trop curieuse pour ne pas comprendre une bonne fois de quoi on me parle quand on me harcèle pour que j’inscrive mes créations sur des plateformes spécialisées.
Le sujet de l’art en ligne, d’une oeuvre unique et authentique qui s’échange avec de la cryptomonnaie autour de la blockshain. Mais sinon?
Je pense qu’il faut considérer les NTFs comme un nouveau média avec ses propres créations et non pas simplement comme un moyen de vendre la photo d’une œuvre sur toile ou de dessins… Cela pour moi manque de sens et ne présente que peu d’intérêt tant pour celui qui souhaite acquérir une oeuvre que pour l’artiste qui au final ne propose alors aucune réflexion créative.
A l’instar de Damien Hirst qui a proposé des NFTs réalisés à partir d’œuvres sur papier. Les acquéreurs devaient choisir entre l’œuvre numérique certifiée par NFT ou l’œuvre physique, l’exemplaire non choisi étant détruit. Et c’est cette démarche qui au final m’intéresse.
Apres, be careful. Le marché des NTFs ne fait que commencer. C’est encore le Far West ou la vie sur la Mars.
BMYBB, c’est une photo que j’ai prise d’une poupée et que je transforme en la filtrant. La couleur la démultiplie. Lui donnant d’autres visages. Ma démarche est de me confronter à la création en série sur une longue période. Je vais m’astreindre à en créer une tous les jours. Tester mes limites créatives et me contraindre sont presque mes mantras.
Pour me faire la patte, j’ai aussi proposé des dessins. Je détruirais l’oeuvre physique si l’oeuvre numérique se vend. N’est ce pas Damien?
Selling your art to NFTs
It’s been hard for me to resist the offers and calls from all the evil spirits, often ill-intentioned, of the networks and the digital world. Perhaps too curious to be afraid, I’d say too curious not to understand once and for all what I’m talking about when I’m pestered to register my creations on specialised platforms.
The subject of online art, of a unique and authentic work that is exchanged with cryptocurrency around the blockshain. But if not?
I think that NTFs should be seen as a new medium with its own creations and not simply as a means of selling a photo of a work on canvas or drawings… For me, this lacks meaning and is of little interest both to the person wishing to acquire a work and to the artist, who in the end offers no creative reflection.
Like Damien Hirst, who offered NFTs made from works on paper. Purchasers had to choose between the digital work certified by NFT or the physical work, with the copy not chosen being destroyed. And it’s this approach that ultimately interests me.
After that, be careful. The NTF market has only just begun. It’s still the Wild West or life on Mars.
BMYBB is a photo I took of a doll that I transformed by filtering it. The colour multiplies it. Giving it other faces. My approach is to confront myself with serial creation.
I’m going to force myself to create one every day. Testing my creative limits and constraining myself are almost my mantras.
To make myself look good, I also proposed drawings. I’ll destroy the physical work if the digital work sells. Isn’t that right Damien?
